A: Yes! Every trip includes fee-free fundraising through our platform. 100% of donations go directly to participant accounts.
Q: Do I need to register a young child, or are they free?
A: Yes, all travelers must be registered. For children under 5, GoPlay can provide prorated packages.
Q: Can I register for only part of the tour?
A: Yes. You can join for select days, but individual services (like just one meal or a single excursion) cannot be booked separately.
Q: After I register and pay, what happens?
A: Once your registration and deposit are complete, GoPlay secures hotels, game tickets, sightseeing tours, and flights. If booking your own flight, please wait for official confirmation from GoPlay or your coach before purchasing.
Q: What happens if we don’t have enough travelers to travel?
A: GoPlay will fully refund any deposits paid.
Insurance

A: All travelers are covered for medical and baggage insurance while overseas with GoPlay.

A: No, cancellation coverage is not included.
Q: Do you recommend cancellation insurance?
A: Yes. GoPlay partners with providers like RoamRight, allowing families to purchase cancellation or trip interruption coverage. Outside of our Terms & Conditions, GoPlay cannot guarantee refunds.
Flights
Q: Do we have to fly with the group?
A: No. While most teams travel together, you may choose a Land Only package and arrange your own flights. You’re responsible for meeting the group at the first hotel and for your return transportation, unless your flights align with the team’s.
Q: How are flight prices determined?
A: Once your group size and dates are confirmed, GoPlay secures airline contracts.
Q: What is the deadline to switch packages?
A: Airline contracts have strict deadlines. After the 120-day cutoff, cancellation or change penalties may apply.
Q: Who is responsible for getting me to the airport?
A: Travelers are responsible for getting to their team’s departure airport. Upon arrival overseas, GoPlay guides will meet the group.
Q: Can I use air miles or upgrade my ticket?
A: Yes. The best option is to purchase the Land Only package and book your own flight. Group fares cannot be upgraded through GoPlay.
Q: How do I get my ticket?
A: E-tickets are posted to your team page 2–5 weeks before departure. Print your ticket and bring it along with your passport to the airport.
Passports & Visas
Q: Do I need a passport?
A: Yes. Passports are required for all international travel. Most countries require your passport to be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
Q: Do I need a visa?
A: Some destinations require visas or electronic travel authorizations (e.g., U.K. ETA, EU ETIAS). Requirements vary by nationality. Please check the Sherpa Travel site for current requirements.
Rooming
Q: How does rooming work?
A: Each team may handle rooming differently. Typically, players share with teammates, and families share with each other. Check with your coach or group leader for specifics.
Q: My player wants to room with a teammate. Is that possible?
A: Yes, as long as both families agree. Parents requesting a private room will incur a single-room supplement.
Q: We are a group of three. Can we share a room?
A: Yes. Triple rooms include either a double/queen/king plus a single bed.
Q: We are a group of four. Can we share a room?
A: No. Rooms abroad are typically smaller. You’ll be placed in two nearby or connecting rooms.
Q: Is there a discount for three people in a room?
A: No. Hotels charge extra for triple rooms, as they require larger spaces and include an additional breakfast.
Packing Tips
Q: What should I pack?
A: Each traveler may bring one checked bag and one carry-on (carry-on must fit under the bus seat). One month before departure, GoPlay will confirm uniform colors and required gear.
Q: Will laundry be available?
A: Laundry is typically available depending on your itinerary.
Q: What does a daily schedule look like?
A: Days usually include a mix of training, matches, sightseeing, and cultural activities. If traveling by bus, rest stops are scheduled every 2–3 hours.
